Course overview
This course introduces central philosophical questions arising from modern physics, especially relativity and quantum theory. Topics include the nature of space and time, causation and determinism, the interpretation of quantum mechanics, realism and anti-realism, and the relationship between physical theory and metaphysics.
The course combines conceptual analysis with close engagement with foundational texts by physicists and philosophers.
